The Timekeeper by award-winning author Mitch Albom, is a very intriguing novel written in different time periods. Mitch Albom writes with a different style than most authors. Within the first six chapters, multiple characters were introduced, all with their own story. Mitch Albom creatively gives each their own timeline, and each wonder about time. We learn about the Father of Time, his childhood, and how he was different from all of the other children. We learn about a teenager, who counts the minutes she needs to do certain things. And we also learn about an old man, who wants more time, even though eighty years of life isn't enough. Mitch Albom teaches us that "man alone measures time. Man alone chimes the hour. And, because of this, man alone suffers a paralyzing fear that no other creature endures. A fear of time running out."
